Well it was a banner night on 222 - sort of.
The amp held up fine, even on FT8 and Q65.
I quit a bit before 9, got up off the chair but then...
I tripped over an empty bottle of Smutty Nose beer
left over from the Conference 222 happy hour committee.
I hit my head and saw stars, gosh they were bright.
I also lost my log sheet in the process.
I do remember having 25 QSOs but the only one
I recall for certain was K1WHS.
So Congrats to Good Buddy Dave, and enjoy
your vacation up in the great white north !
Watch out for Polar bears !
Hope to work some of you again this weekend.

> There seems to be a bit of confusion about the rules for the WZ1V QSO
marathon this evening. You must contact WZ1V on this evening to get a
chance at the big prize. A few have asked about submitting old QSL cards
from WZ1V in an effort to clean out their shacks of un needed paper.
That will not work. You must make contact with Ron to be entered. WA1ZMS
has offered his knee high Arctic insulated boots to the potential
winner. He advises that such gear is necessary to avoid frostbite and death.

A few folks commented that you can and ought to opt out of being picked
by the Committee.  if you refrain from contacting Ron, but I would
consider that in rather poor form as we all want to welcome GB Ron back
to 222 MHz after his short hiatus with a bang. The Committee feels that
many callers for WZ1V will be a great welcome gift.

After the evenings excitement, there should be a message from the 222
MHz Activity Committee about the winner. The suspense is growing. CU all
tonight on 222!
