Hi all, As many of you know I lost my 120ft tower the winter before last.
Attached to that were five runs of 7/8"Andrew LDF5-50A Heliax. The total length
of each run was between 130 and 150 ft. They all got kinked about 50 ft from
the top when the tower fell. If I salvaged the 'good parts" of what's left I
have several lengths between 80 and 90 ft long (maybe one at 100) and a few
shorter ones (40-50ft-ish). The local scrap guy will pay $1.10 per # for the
stuff which equates to something like 35-40 cents per foot. I'd rather it went
to someone who could use it as actual COAX hah hah. So my first question is
this: Is there so much of this stuff around that no one needs any any more and
I might as well scrap it? If not, second question is does anyone want or need
what I would think of as "short lengths" (i.e 40-100ft long)? I obviously have
some connectors too. This cable CAN be shipped reasonably or I'd be willing to
meet someone in New England for gas money and an eyeball.
If there's any interest here I can send pics and we can "talk". If I sell this
as cable, I'm not going to do that at scrap price, but reasonable. Lemme know..
Thanks!
