Hi VHFers

It is Tuesday and this is the best time to try for a 222 MHz contact no matter where you are in the USA. There is a 222 net in the PNW, while there is significant random SSB and CW activity all over the northeast and midwest.  Stations are on in the South including Florida Tennessee, North Carolina Louisiana and Virginia on a typical Tuesday night. I am hoping to be making noise around 222.100 MHz starting at about 23:45UT.  The wx here in Maine is mild, so I will be styling up in the shack rather than freezing my butt off.

If you have 222 gear tonight is the time to try it out.   There are many who monitor the ON4KST Chat page. Select "144/432 Region 2  Chat" and let people know that you are on 222 and see what happens.   I am all excited as there will be a station on northeast of me. K1DY will be on from FN54 with some power and an antenna up in the air where it belongs. Lets  see if we can keep Bill busy all evening!!
