Surprising amount of activity last night on the 222 Activity event. Got on
expecting to work a few stations and call it a night but the chat page kept
filling up with new calls as the evening wore on, so I stayed and worked as
many stations as I could find.
I ended up with 14 QSO's and 9 grids. K1DS was in town for the holiday and
brought a portable station that he used from his hotel room. N2SLN/P set up in
FN22 which was a nice relatively rare grid for the Tuesday event.
The most challenging "almost" contact was N1BUG in FN55. Conditions in northern
NE were impacted by local storms so a few stations tried FT8 to break through.
N1BUG started with a good signal at -08 but dropped to -17 then gone before we
could complete. I saw a few sparkles on the waterfall several times during the
evening but no further decodes. Paul's account in a previous email told a
similar story. Paul is a rare station on Tuesday nights, so it was
disappointing to miss him last night. Hope to get another chance in the next
few weeks.
The following is my results for Tuesday night. Thanks to everyone for the Q's
and the fun.
CU on the next 222 activity night.
