It was raining and pretty wet when I went up the hill to the shack. It has been raining off  and on for a few days. I figure that conditions around the North here are pretty bleak. Still there was some pretty good activity on 222 for the evening. Here is the log:

I really tried to work K3SK way down in FM07 in Virginia. In the past we have drawn a blank with CW and FT8.  Tonight, Dave K3SK was going to try Q65 on tropo paths. I ran for awhile but detected nothing. After 01:15 or so both K3SK and I adjourned from the earthbound path and tried EME as the Moon was up. Neither of us had any luck there either.  It is starting to look like someone has put the proverbial "hex" on us to prevent a contact.  I had thought that I was Ron WZ1V's good buddy, but I can't help but wonder if Good Buddy Ron has put a hex on things and is preventing K3SK from getting even 2 or 3 miles past the Connecticut shoreline. K3SK and Ron always work, but the signal stops at the CT shore.

Notable things this evening. KG6CIH activated his rover from southern NH and made some contacts. W1AW/2 in NJ was on 222 this evening for a nice surprise.  I also noted that condx were pretty good to the west, and some really good contacts and "almost contacts" were made. I hope we get a report on what transpired. N1LHP near Boston copied W1AIM in northern VT with just a quarter wave vertical.   K1ZK in VT heard VE2XX on his vertical. Hopefully, they will get a horizontal antenna up in the air soon.

Don't forget that Wednesday night is 432 Sprint Night. a big Thanks to all who got on 222 for this Tuesday!

Dave K1WHS
