 Here in the Southeastern United States, we have used Q65-15A, on 2M~1296, with 
good results. Contacts have been made that couldn't be completed with FT8. 
Operationally, it is similar to FT8, except you can only get (about) five 
stations in your passband, at one time. I even made a random (not scheduled) 
QSO, one time.

I was out roving last December for the Geminids.
I made some non MS contacts on 2m and 70cm at around 400 - 450 miles using Q65 
30C.
No reason 222 wouldn’t work as well.
