Marshall,

I agree on the top and bottom of the hour for ssb/cw. Jim, K8JH and I tried that as much as we could when we were in EN67.

The Slack channel "rover-raregrid" seems to have taken off very well.

Compared to even 10 years ago, there are a lot more folks putting on the grids. I still am in amazement as to how Fred Fish did it.

Hello Gerry....In our area, I have been pushing the following idea: Stations should check for SSB or CW at the top and bottom of the hour.  IF some Es exists then work it!! ... as long as possible. If the Es fades, then back to FT8 or FT4.  If you think this idea has merit, please champion this method up in your area.

Another idea:  if a big Es opening happens, post that information on the reflectors.  The problem here is that there does not seem to be any reflector that is "universally" used for something like this.  Any suggestions??
