Most other multimode contests like the ARRL 10 meter contest, the IARU
contest, and most state QSO parties allow you to work the same station on
both CW and SSB.  Field Day allows for contacts with the same station on
CW, SSB and Digital.  So the precedent has already been set, and there is
no reason we can't do that in the VHF contests as well.
