Thanks Jeff.   I think your answer summarized the issue I am having.   I'm 
beginning to wonder if the prior batches of connectors that "worked" may have 
been slightly over sized or perhaps as you mention the centre conductor strands 
are un ravelling some what when I strip the cable.
