Below came in on packet radio from Captain Jeremy Allen N1ZZZ on the MV
Capt. Steven Bennett (cargo ship). They are en route to Texas and
should be around 180-200 miles off Bermuda when the contest starts.
Good opportunity to work some rare water only grids if propagation cooperates.
I'm not sure if the C6 Bermuda 6m beacon is currently active for a propagation
indicator to that area?
When not active on other bands/modes, he is
active on the 30m robust packet APRS network and can be tracked here if
interested: http://aprs.fi/n1zzz

Subject: N1ZZZ/MM QRV CQ WW VHF Contest
N1ZZZ/MM will be QRV for part of the CQ WW VHF Contest from near
Bermuda this weekend. He will operate on 6M SSB as ship operations
allow. This should activate several wet grids over course of the
contest.
