My ancient Garmin etrex has that feature under Setup –> Units -> Position
Format; you get many choices including Maidenhead. I can’t imagine that
they’ve changed that menu. The etrex models are still sold by Garmin. The
following page has a list of Garmin models that support the Maidenhead grid
system and it includes the etrex as of June 2014. It's cheap too.
