What RoverMania! has done for the UHF contest, MidwestMania! promises
to do for the September VHF/UHF contest.

If you are in the Great Plains states and complain of little activity
in VHF contests, get on this weekend and work one of the MidwestMania!
stations. There will be 11 rovers in 60 different grids from the
Colorado Front range to western shores of Lake Michigan. At least 37
well equipped fixed stations will be activeform as many grids.

The September contest can be pretty flat if there is no tropo or Es.
In the sparsely populated Great Plains this means few people to work
and hours of boredom. The rovers will give you a chance for many
contacts throughout the contest period.

W9FZ/r is organizing this activity and has a wonderful web page
describing activity:

If you are in the Great Plains and going to be on for the contest, or
thinking about being on, sign up on the page. There are maps showing
where the activity is going to be and maps of rover routes.

See you in the contest! My route is on the web pages. - Duffey
