For those that value the 2m beacons...

It seems that W2EV (Ev) has announced a weekly PropNet PSK net right in the 
middle of the 2m beacon sub-band. Ev has chosen to use 144.188 out of 4 MHz of 
spectrum with much better places for such operations. Yeah, you read that right.

The issue of this poor frequency choice has been brought to Ev's attention and 
he continues to pursue this. It appears to be a rather childish and strange 
choice in order to attract the attention of VHF/UHF Weak Signal folks to his 
particular pet project. You would think if he was truly interested in 
attracting PSK folks, he'd operate the net in a much better portion of the 2m 
spectrum. Yeah, I'm baffled at the logic too.

Ev is on this list, so this is not me going behind his back. He's been 
contacted on this before and has yet to justify the frequency choice.
