I tried a sked with a station about 120 or so miles away in the January
contest with my VX-6R and FM. That's all he had for 222. I could hear
nothing on the VX-6R. I could hear his signal with my 222 transverter but I
didn't have FM capability on the IF rig.
There are actually quite a few stations in this area with 222 SSB/CW
capability. I usually work at least 5 or 6 stations on that band in the
contests - sometimes more. It's a fun band.
