In response to Duane's request I have done some more research and come up
with the following:-
Roving is not a common activity in the UK except on the microwave bands
because of the population density and the only restriction imposed is that the
operating points must be at least 16 Km (10 miles) apart and serial numbers do
not restart from 001. See _www.microwavers.org_ (http://www.microwavers.org)
for the rules.
In some contests 6 digit locators are used to score distance and the number
of 4 digit locator squares are used as a multiplier. Perhaps using this
regime and not allowing contacts to a big square worked from by a rover (other
than when he was in it) to count as a multiplier might help. There are
variations on this that might be experimented on to get the desired result.
For other rules it is a case of finding individual sites such as
_www.sk3bg.se/contest/index.htm_ (http://www.sk3bg.se/contest/index.htm) or
searching by
the individual contest name such as PW QRP (this one uses 6 digit locators
and 4 digit squares for multipliers.
