1. Down East Microwave 2 meter transverter 144-28 HP 60 watt output linear
transverter. Options included: Common RF output, - 20dBM split IF, PTT-L and
AUX to GND for external amplifier keying. Recently repaired by DEM - replaced
Rx FET. Output level presently set to minimum by DEM for customization by user.

$450 shipped CONUS.

2. 1296 MHz K9EK Coaxial Cavity RF Power Amplifier with homebrew (handbook
design) filament/bias supply and separate HV supply. This a grounded grid
triode linear amplifier (using the 7289, 7211, 3CX100A5, 2C39 tubes) based on
the VE4MA design which will require <5 watts of 1296MHz drive. I have the
cavity mounted on a 19" rack panel chasis with the filament/bias supply
contained on the same chasis. The cavity is configured for air cooling with a
muffin fan mounted on the same chasis. The amplifier may be configured for
water cooling (I have 2 water cooling jackets which is included with the sale).
The HV supply is a Velonex 330C (19" rack mount chasis) which WILL require the
use of a Variac (not included) to keep HV at the 800 - 1250vdc level. In the
air cooled configuration at 1000vdc with a new tube the amplifier output is
approximately 30 - 50 watts for low duty cycle transmissions (less than 1
minute ssb/cw). Higher output may be obtained in water cooled configurations.
Included in the sale are the mounted T/R relays (requires ptt ground on xmit
to key relays), 2 nib tubes (1 of 2C39 and 1 of 7289) as well as the existing
tube which is getting a little "soft" as output has decreased to the 25 watt
level, interconnecting cables, 2 water cooling jackets and documentation. This
is not a "plug and play" unit and will take considerable integration into your
1296MHz station. Proper caution must be used when working with these
potentially lethal voltages.
I used this amplifier for many years with my FT736R with 1000vdc HV and getting
between 30-60 watts output mostly in contests and band openings keeping
transmissions relatively short. Price with HV power supply = $350 shipped to
CONUS, without HV power supply = $325 shipped to CONUS. Local pickup may be
arranged in the Westminster, MD area.

Ed K3DNE
