I'm selling my nearly new Icom IC-756 Pro III purchased in June 2008 from
Giga-Parts in Huntsville, AL. It has less than 10 hours of use since then,
mostly casual DX'ing on the 6 Meter band, and some HF work. Radio is 100%
working, and has never had any problem. Cosmetically, it looks right out of the
box. I still have the original box, instructions, cables, microphone, and
receipt from Giga-Parts. You won't be disappointed with this one.
While I never used the rig with transverters, it's perfect for that purpose,
having custom input jacks and easy menu settings. On 6 Meters it's a dream for
both CW, voice and WJST. The pre-amp and DSP is amazing.
Unfortunately, I have a daughter in college at the University of Alabama (Roll
Tide!) and tuition is due again. We're a little short with Christmas, and a
lack of work for my freelance XYL lately, so I need to make the sacrifice. The
rig is currently listed on ebay at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290276611343
I'm asking $2,000 for the "buy it now" price, which is a savings of over $1,000
for the rig if purchased new. If you've had your eye on this radio, you won't
be sorry with this one.
We've been on ebay for over a decade, and have a feedback rating to prove it.
We're also well known in ham radio and weak signal VHF camps, so you won't be
disappointed with the rig for sure. And never fear, I still have an Icom 746
and Icom 746-Pro, so you'll hear me on 6 meters during those e-skip openings
next month. I may even get to work you on your shiny new Pro III.
Thanks and 73,
