Call for Papers – 2008 Pacific Northwest VHF+ Conference
The Pacific Northwest VHF Society is now calling for papers to be published in
the Proceedings of the 2008 Pacific Northwest VHF+ Conference. The conference
will be held at the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center, Moses Lake,
Washington, on the weekend of October 3-5, 2008.
These do NOT need to be long, highly technical pieces. In fact, shorter
how-to-do-it articles, with or without accompanying photos, are preferred.
Papers and conference presentations will be published in electronic format on a
CD-ROM and should be submitted in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
Accompanying photos and drawings should be in a common graphics format such as
JPEG, TIFF, etc.
The deadline to submit papers is September 7, 2008. Earlier submission is
strongly encouraged. Please consider writing up your experience with some
aspect of VHF+ activity and submitting it. Send all Proceedings questions,
comments and paper submissions to PNWVHFS Proceedings Editor Scott Honaker
(N7SS) at scotthon@pilchuckvet.com. For further information on the conference
itself, please check the PNWVHFS web site at www.pnwvhfs.org.
There are many relative newcomers to VHF+ amateur radio. Your article in the
2008 Proceedings could provide just the information one or more of these folks
needs to solve a problem or get motivated to try something new. “Old-timers”
may learn a thing or two as well!
