My best "vhf antenna analyzer" is a Kenwood TF6A triband (144,222,432) handheld
with an Air Force surplus Bird wattmeter that is older than I am. A old beat up
5 watt slug and a few coax cables complete this very light and portable setup.

How about the a reliable work horse Bird 43 & appreciate slugs for the
frequency & power levels you need. ebay has all you will ever need or new
from RF Parts & others. You can't do much better.

Subject: [VHFcontesting] VHF/UHF SWR Meter
While putting together a new Directive Systems DS224-8R antenna last night,
I realized that I lack even basic test equipment for 222mhz.
I'd like to add an SWR/Wattmeter that covers 144/222/432, and would prefer
"N" connectors for the inputs and outputs. Can anyone recommend one that
will perform well. Low power for all bands, nothing over 300 watts.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
