OK, you guys started it so I need to finally chime in!

When I go roving it is with the XYL and her Novice License (she assists as
well) and The Kid, our 4th child, 4 years old. We do a day before at a local
hotel and hang in the pool, snack shop, and do local crazy stuff, then we
rove the next day, working our way back to the home QTH, working grids along
the way. It's a bit less painful that way.

I roved to Wisconsin, to some of the most beautiful state parks, in January.
Bitter cold? Heck yes. We had the whole park to ourselves a couple of times!
Drove around a bit. Walked around a bit as well. Went to the shore of Lake
Michigan and saw it all frozen, that was neat.

Stayed in a Best Western in Wisconsin that was INCREDIBLE for the $90 we
paid. Middle of winter, 10 below zero, and we have a huge pool and a hot tub
in a tropical atrium under the stars! Incredible. Of course, there has to
always be something, and it was right before The Big Game, and there were
too many true Wisconsites who kept saying "Hey, how about da Packers" it
would make any Chicagoan crazy!

It's really what you make it.
