Frank, using the Accuvolt to get one more db isn't the point .. many
current-model radios get very flaky/unstable/weird when running much
below 12.5V .. FT-100 is a good example. The Accuvolt lets me run the
batteries down into the upper 11V range without the radios losing
their minds ..
