Geez...this seems like a dumb idea.  The first sizable branch you'll hit 
will likely rip the entire mast off the vehicle and destroy the 
antennas, feedlines, and maybe even take a little mobile rig like an 
FT-100 out the window as well along with the feedline :-(.
