Hello again all
Jeff NJ2F appears to have run into the same problem as I with Microwave
contacts.
Here is the scoop based on his and subsequently my trial, error and eventual
success.
Thanks for the email Jeff ........
The folks at ARRL decided, it appears, to make the band not 1.2 but 1.2G
now.
This appears to go for all the Microwave QSOs so one may have to add the
letter G to the band entry on contest generated Cabrillo files.
Below is what ARRL will not accept:
QSO: 1.2 PH 2007-06-10 2228 W4SHG FM18 W1RT/R FM08
QSO: 2.3 PH 2007-06-10 2230 W4SHG FM18 W1RT/R FM08
The above was created by N3FJP 2.8 VHF Log, and the Cabforms
(http://b4h.net/cabforms/)
The format that the ARRL appears to accept is:
QSO: 902 PH 2007-06-10 2228 W4SHG FM18 W1RT/R
FM08
QSO: 1.2G PH 2007-06-10 2228 W4SHG FM18 W1RT/R
FM08
QSO: 2.3G PH 2007-06-10 2230 W4SHG FM18 W1RT/R
FM08
Note that the "G" is directly after the band and in the same column as the 2
in the 902 entry.
Also note that the subject line now going the the robot can only have your
callsign in it, or it will be bounced for that rule infraction :(
Maybe the cure to this inconvenience is for all of us to send them Paper
Logs, :)
I'll bet that would get some attention ............. Really I am just
kidding no one scoring a contest wants paper logs, trust me on this one ...
Respectfully submitted
Steve Gilmore - W4SHG
