Yo,
Had fun in the 6m sprint, from W4RX
despite mediocre condx. A few short
bursts of Es never really materialized here,
but added some excitement nonetheless...
Local rain and electrical storms had the
noise floor sounding like a frieght train for
the 1st hour or so. The band quieted down
later, but condx weren't so hot. It's always
a pleasant surprise to see the grids
represented on 6m that we usually don't
find on 2m & up. Lots of good operators
helped us to find 101 QSOs with the following
33 grids:
EL96 EN82 FM08 FN00 FN32
EM70 EN90 FM15 FN01
EM72 EN91 FM16 FN10
EM89 FK68 FM17 FN11
EM95 FM04 FM18 FN12
EM96 FM05 FM19 FN20
EN80 FM06 FM28 FN21
EN81 FM07 FM29 FN31
Tnx to W4RX for letting me play at his great
station in FM19bb...everything worked great!
Many tnx fer all the action. Hpe CU in June
from W3IY/R on the eastern shore.
73,
Bill W3IY
