N0BAF (Dan) and are going roving this weekend with a 4 band setup. We will have a bit more power than last time on 6 and 432. Look for us on or about the SSB calling frequencies. When we stop, the setup and bands will be: 6 - 100 watts into a Moxon. 2 - 50 watts into 6 elements. 220 - 20 watts into 7 elements. 432 - 20 watts into 12 elements. In motion, we will only have vertical antennas. But sometimes that is plenty. We will check 147.42, and 446 FM from time to time, but haven't had much luck with FM during VHF contests. I might be able to put an FM signal in 223.5, but will not know for sure before the weekend. Plan is to head east and hit DM89 when the contest starts. From there we will head South to DM88 and DM87. Then back West to DM77 and North via DM78 to home in DM79. We will probably average about two hours or less in each grid. If all goes well, on Sunday we will do a loop to the North and East. Did anyone arrange for a six meter opening like we had last June? 73 de KI0SK (Erich) _______________________________________________ VHFcontesting mailing list VHFcontesting@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/vhfcontesting |
