This is one of the misconceptions about Cabrillo - there is no scoring info 
expected in the file.  It is not a scored log - rather it is intended as 
raw QSO data.  The log checkers re-calculate the score after checking.

I do the log checking for the ARRL 160 and 10 meter contests.  We use the 
"score" field only as a rough check against the final score that we 
calculated.  Even then, you would be amazed at how some logging programs 
mis-calculate the final score, sometimes by hundreds of thousands of 
points, and this is in a contest with scoring rules which have been in 
place for decades.

The point here is that I would not worry about fixing up your score in a 
Cabrillo file.
