In QST for January 2013, AD5X shows a "high Power Bias T".
He uses: 40 μH, 3 A inductor, J.W. Miller 5240-RC
(Mouser 542-5240-RC).
As an alternative, since the RCS4 chokes are not in series
with the RF, you could simply use two in series.
Since F1 in the control unit is specified at 1A, I would
suspect the JW Miller 3A choke would be the best solution.

Are you smoking the choke in the switch or in the control box?

Hi Guys,
I've gotten a lot of good use out of Ameritron RCS-4 Remote Coax
Switches. However, I keep smoking RFC-1 and wonder if you can
recommend a Heavy Duty replacement for RFC-1 that I'm less likely to
smoke when running a KW? Thanks! Dick- K9OM
