I got beeswax a number of years ago on-line that was in the form of
small pellets. I softened it up by putting some of the pellets in a
metal coffee can along with some lamp oil and heating over a stove
burner. It doesn't take much heat and you have to watch it for
safety--don't leave it unattended. A small amount of lamp oil gave me
the paste consistency I was looking for, but may not be necessary for
your project.
