Decades ago I had a 5/8WL (CB) ground plane by (I think) 'Antenna
Specialists' and I am about 99% sure it included a matching "coil" under
some plastic insulation (like a big tubular boot) to get the long vertical
element to match on 27MHz.

Does this antenna have a similar feature?

I (easily) converted this antenna to 10m as soon as I became a ham, (1978)
by shortening the vertical a couple inches and moving the tap (best as I can
recll) one or two turns.

A decade or so later, I used it on 30m by lengthening it some, but still had
to totally short out the loading/matching coil to make it resonate on 10MHz.
