Mine is on a 90 foot tower with the C31 on top and xm240 is below the c31 on
a gate. As a contester HFTA said the optimum height for the xm240 to Europe
( where the action is,) was 70 feet. No detectable interaction. Using a ham
IV to turn the gate for the last 14 years .

Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] CUSHCRAFT XM-240
I’m using a 402CD++ about 12 feet above a Skyhawk with no trouble. They
resonate on 17m instead of 15 due to the loading coils. XM240 is just about
the same electrically...

I've heard good and bad about this antenna. Has anyone used these in a 2/2
stack? Has anyone mounted this antenna above or below a tribander with about
10 feet of spacing above or below? If so, was the SWR changed on either the
tribander (especially 15 meters) or the XM-240? If constructed with the mid
=band setting (7125kHz) what was the SWR across the band? Any thoughts on the
antenna?
