I'm kind of interested in any engineering research into tower failures.
There's a ton out there.. google for "lattice tower failure" is a good
way to start.
A lot of it is related to power transmission towers, but is relevant.
https://www.omicsonline.org/open-access/structural-analysis-of-lattice-steel-transmission-towers-a-review-2472-0437-1000114.pdf
is an example
there's also papers like this
https://www.hindawi.com/journals/ace/2018/3293506/
"Progressive collapse analysis" might be a good search phrase.
There's also analyses for wind power.
"guyed tower failure" is another useful one.
"tower failure" is useless - because you get a billion hits for the 9-11
WTC event.
There's a fair amount of literature out there supporting the changes in
EIA/TIA-222 - if you look for the document describing why they changed,
it typically points to analyses.
