The advice Jim offers here to use a jumper at the top has saved me a lot of
grief over the years and enables using lower loss coax for the "uprun" and
transitioning to a flexible coax at the top... not that you really need to
do that at HF. I am currently using LMR600FLEX up the tower length, then
BuryFlex from the top of the tower to the mast mounted device or antenna.
In the past, I have used Buryflex up the tower (shorter towers) with good
results and recommend that for general HF use.
