Staking nuts refers to the practice of creating a notch in the nit and
corresponding mating surface with a cold chisel and hammer. The will prevent
the nut from rotating. Very common in critical assemblies.
We do this on the castle nuts of AR-15sto prevent them from walking out and
the buffer tube becoming loose for example.
