I used #2 stranded on my tower ground. As I recall, that's what US Tower
recommended.

I personally think solid wire is better, but when you're talking about #2
solid, stuff that big gets pretty difficult to work with. It's as big
around as my little finger and requires a lot of strength to manipulate!
Stranded is easier to bend. I've seen both used, and both work fine in
Cadwelds if you want a welded bond to your ground rod.
