For the 50 vs. 50a question, it's actually possible that 50 predates the
internet. The coax I have has been setting in storage for probably 20 years
and I have no idea when it was actually made. May have to look for a
manufacturing date on the coax. Would not be surprised if it's 80s or so.

AVA5 ad LDF5 use different connectors and tools. I have plenty of LDF
connectors but had to buy new for AVA.

I have used the AL5DF-PS on some AVA5-50 and it was really easy to put on.
I was hoping that the LDF5-50, LDF5-50A and AVA5-50 were all dimensionally
the same and could use the same connectors but have no idea if that’s the
actual case.
