[TowerTalk] Antenna element question

Hello all,


I am in the process of refurbishing a 5-element 6 meter beam. The first 
director uses a section of 3/4 inch tubing nested with a 5/8 inch piece 
of tubing. My aluminum supply is somewhat skimpy and I was wondering if 
I could replace the entire first director with a single piece of 1 inch 
tubing; no taper?
