Hmmm... I'm not sure where I got the idea it was stranded with a steel
core.?? It still should work fine through HF, but the bending radius
might be limited compared to RG-400, which is what I use. I think RG
400 is almost the same as 8X except for the voltage rating, flexibility,
and price.

diagram. The only silver plated copper
strands are the two braids. I wonder how much this stuff sells for ?
