> What are the advantages/disadvantages of using silver solder? I never have gotten a clear understanding when silver solder is appropriate. A big difference is that after being exposed to air, the silver oxide is a conductor whereas the oxide from regular solder is not. Might make a difference in your ground system or other similar applications.
