With that length of RG-8 you can probably replace it with a dummy load. :)

Change that to any REASONABLE length, I'll agree, but what happens if
the length is long enough that R becomes dominant? I mean, say RG-8,
the reistance of the center conductor is about 1 Ohm/1000 ft. What if
you had 50K feet of coax? ;)
