white schedule 40 PVC pipe outside suffers from the same problem.
Prime the outside of the PVC and give it a liberal coat of External Alkyd paint
and it greatly reduce deterioration.
I have 3 white PVC pipes underground that have about 4 ft exposed at the tower
end. After 17 years there is minimal evidence of deterioration.
Perhaps a little spray paint on exposed wire ties would help.
I use strips of Insulated #12 Romex wire for ties up the tower. Some of
these have been in service since early 1980's

usually last a little longer. But it to will eventually dry out, get
brittle and disintegrate.

Does any one have the brand and product number of a UV resistant wire tie,

I have used many so-called UV resistant ties that are junk. OTOH, the wire
ties provided by M2 with my 6 year old 40M4LLDD have held up very well,
despite the UV-rich environment here in NM.
