I've not seen any magic about it's price either. It's pretty much right
in there with the Belden cables. Compared to the early days of 9913
it's really cheap..er inexpensive at about half the price 9913 debuted for.
I use LMR-600 particularly on 160 and up in the VHF plus range. I use
it on 160 for the low resistance and for the low loss on VHF and up and
again it's relatively inexpensive. Most quality cables give a projected
lifetime of 20 years. The LMR-UF versions only give 10. I managed 6 or 7.
