That's correct. In fact I think the height limitation is 90 feet for all
counties in KH6 and I know it is on the Big Island. On Molokai I have been
told it is somewhere around 20-30 feet. All property in KH6 is subject
to one permitted tower, although some guys out in the country a bit do the
unpermitted thing and have more than one tower. The problem is if the
neighbors complain you're screwed.
The KH6YY station is pretty much the reason for the current regs. After
the station went up in the 70s on the upscale north shore of Oahu the
neighbors complained. So, it is a unique situation, a great location, and
therefore pretty valuable.
