Fortunately, the previous owner used a liberal amount of Penetrox on all the element joints and boom joints. My main reason for wanting to "shine up" the overall appearance is to make it look a little closer in appearance to the other antennas going up, which are new, and get rid of some of the dirt and grime which had adhered to the parts while it sat behind a shed. Otherwise, electrically everything looks fine. Thanks for all the great suggestions, folks.
