My first thought is "What kind of big vertical?"

It appears you're using a standard bell housing rotator including the lower
bracket/mast clamp. Is that correct? If so, that won't withstand much
mast/vertical length above it; so all the guying in the world at the rotator or
below it won't keep the rotator from breaking with a long vertical load above
it.

Subject: [TowerTalk] guy line anchor ?

Hi all,

I have decided to add guy lines to my free standing tower.
I have 2 good points to tie to but the 3rd I need to make.
It will need to be some sort of ground anchor, and looking
for pointers.

My Tower is only 45ft wind up / tilt over in a concrete block
and has been up for over a year fine with a 4 ely tri-bander,
I would like to add a big vertical to the top so the reason for
the guy lines.
