Not necessarily so for 80.  For years I used a delta loop array (flat  
topped) facing NW, NE, SW and SE, average height of 130 feet which was 
suspended  on 
a caternary system from three different towers.  The system blew away  four 
squares.
 
Generally speaking however, unless the Yagis are close to at least 1/2  
wavelength in height, the four squares are the way to go...especially when you  
consider the maintenance.  Those low angles just don't come that easily  unless 
you get the Yagis up high and in the clear.
