[TowerTalk] Wire Diameter and Signal Gain

Hi Folks,

I was reading in an old antenna book that changing the diameter of a wire 
dipole from # 14 guage to # 6 would add 
6db gain to the antenna.  Was that a typo?  Did they mean to say .6db?

I use 2" irrigation tubing for the 40m rotating dipole, so I suppose if I 
follow the thought process in this old book my antenna is prolly worth about 
60db, haha.
