YES! I ran into this when trying to load a vertical that was
essentially a quarter wave on 160 and a half wave on 80M. It worked,
but the high voltage makes it a lot more complicated in all the ways
that Jerry cited.
An easier way to do it is to rig a shorter parallel wire that
approximates a quarter wave on 80M. I've done that and it works --
sort of. But the high dipoles beat the pants off of it, thanks to
their gain in the horizontal plane and the fact that they're high so
they have a very nice vertical pattern.
