What is missing for me on this article is at what take-off angle is the increased efficiency realized? I suspect the smaller radial systems raise the angle of radiation slightly or maybe not so slightly. Who knows? 73, Dave Wa3gin ...N6LF has also published some excellent work on radial systems. It's on his website.
