Paul,

While the combination of antennas you're dealing with is a bit unique, the
experince I've had with my KT34XA and 40M antennas may be helpful.

It looks like the Comet antenna covers 40 through 10 meters. The problems
you will be most likely to experience would be interaction between 40 and
15M with the Comet and 15M with the KT34A.

I have had a KLM rotatable 40M dipole and a 2 el 40M KLM yagi spaced eight
feet above my KT34XA. With the elements of the either 40M antenna aligned
with the elements of the tribander, there was very noticeable interaction.
When I swung the 40 meter antennas do the elements were parallel with the
boom of the tribander I saw little if any interaction.

I would expect you could place the 442V quite close to the KT34 as long as
it ran parallel with the boom of the KT34.
