Tony,
Hopefully you just have the wires in the wrong place.
Take an ohmmeter, and on the lowest scale, measure each wire with respect to
the others. If the antenna is not against a stop, the two wires that read
about 15 ohms are the motor wires (wires 4 & 5). If the antenna is against the
stop, you will be measuring the motor through a diode, so in one direction
you will read near infinity, and in the other direction, you will read about
200 ohms.
The third wire should have no continuity with the other two unless the rotor
is against a stop. Then, it will be through a diode and a 2.2K resistor - so
it would read about 2.5K in one direction, near infinity with the leads
reversed.
